Summary:
Fair Dinkum Fertilizers Lawn Feeder is a blend of liquid seaweed plus additional macro nutrients and chelated trace elements. The liquid seaweed is made from Australian bull kelp and it promotes root development and top growth, stimulates flowering and fruiting and helps the plant cope with moisture and temperature stress.
Key Features:
Promotes root development.
Promotes top growth.
Stimulates both flowering and fruiting.
Increases the plants resilience to cope with moisture and temperature stress.
Promotes the growth of microbes which are important in the breakdown of organic material in the soil and the release of soil nutrients.
Background
The chelated trace elements are easily taken up by the plants and the movement of the trace elements within the plant is facilitated by chelation.
What are Chelates?
Chelated micronutrients are fertilisers where the micronutrient ion (such as Iron (Fe)) is surrounded by a larger molecule called a chelator. Chelators are generally more protected from natural occurring and unwanted reactions such as oxidation, precipitation, and immobilisation in certain conditions. They protect and make available the micronutrients to the plant. The use of chelated micronutrients improves the bioavailability of micronutrients and can contribute to crop quality and yield. Chelated micronutrients should be considered if plants display micronutrient stress, in alkaline soils that limit micronutrient availability, or when soil micronutrient supplementation is insufficient.
Types of application
Lawn Feeder is suitable for most plants except some fungi. Lawn feeder can be applied about every three to four weeks during the growing season. However, applications to native trees should be limited to two or three applications per year because of its phosphorus content. Do not apply if the temperature is above 30°C.
